Physicians in the Rochester region now have access to a simple, inexpensive option for eprescribing. The Rochester RHIO’s eRX option is CMS certified for the Medicare eprescribing incentive. Using the same platform as the Elysium EHR, patient information is pre-loaded and medication history is available. We are offering this solution for $50.00 per physician per month.
As of Jan. 1, 2009, the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) increased physician reimbursements by 2 percent for Medicare patients whose prescriptions are ordered electronically. Physicians who choose e-prescribing software from Rochester RHIO receive a unique combination of benefits.

Meet CMS requirements. Unlike some other eRx applications, Rochester RHIO is an all-electronic solution that meets CMS requirements to qualify immediately for the higher reimbursement.

See medication history. Physicians enrolled in Rochester RHIO’s health information exchange can view their patient’s past and present prescriptions from other providers, with data automatically updated by insurance carriers and area pharmacies.

Patient data pops up automatically. Because Rochester RHIO’s master patient index (MPI) already includes our area’s 1.2 million residents, physicians and their staffs do not need to type in the patient’s basic information with every prescription.

Refills are a snap. Reminders are sent automatically and refill requests can be approved by physicians or their office staff with a click of the computer mouse.

Proven platform. Rochester RHIO links to the SureScripts/Rx-Hub system, the nation’s largest network of pharmacy information, which is sponsored by the leading organizations of independent and chain drug retailers.
