Rochester RHIO equips health care providers with the tools to share essential information when and where they need it to best serve their patients. It helps providers to deliver quality care while reducing inefficiency and the cost of unnecessary services.
The RHIO is a single, highly secure resource for finding lab reports, radiology results, medication history and insurance eligibility on patients throughout the nine-county Greater Rochester area. Other information such as allergies, vaccinations and hospital admission/discharge reports will be available through the exchange. The health information exchange is being rolled out in phases during 2008.
